Willis A. Gummoe

(1918-2004)

Willis Gummoe was born November 1, 1918 in Wayne County Pennsylvania. He enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 23 and served for three years during World War II. He was a Medical NCO with the 32nd Station Hospital in Africa and Italy. During his service he received several awards, including a Good Conduct Medal for World War II, a Victory Medal, and a European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with two bronze stars. He was not only an American hero, but also my personal one as well. He was a craftsman and had a passion for knives. This is someting he passed down from generation to generation. There is nothing like having a good quality knife.

His unique craftmanship influence reflects on all my custom knives and hopefully will create the same kind of memories from my family to yours.

Harold James Holmes

(1925-1991)

Harold Holmes was born on October 17, 1925 in Oregon County, Missouri. He was the fourth child out of six to be born to Winnie Mae Hardin-Holmes and Arthur James Holmes.  He enlisted in the United States Navy at the age of 17 and served during World War II in the years 1942-1944. After the WW II, he moved to St. Louis, Missouri and married Norma Jane Allen and had three daughters. He worked for General Motors for over forty years. His country background built a broad knowledge of various skill sets. He also had a diverse hunting background and could appreciate the knives that I handmake today.

Harold Holmes is my wife's maternal grandfather and personal hero. He was an amazing craftsman and I try and use his country and outdoor influence in all my knives and products.
